This dress is a replica of the Lake dress worn by Padmé Amidala (Natalie Portman) in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones. I made this dress after analysing photos from multiple angles and watching how it moves in its' short screen-time in the film. I pattern-drafted from scratch, dyed 6.5 metres of fabric in intricate patterns to achieve the visual effects, and experimented with drape based entirely on photos alone.
